For me, leadership is not just about guiding decisions—it’s about shaping cultures, building trust, and creating the kind of tables where people thrive.
Build the Table
Every table begins with four legs. Four points of contact with the ground, steady and sure. Without them, the table wobbles, leans, falters. With them, it holds—whatever we place upon it. A table’s surface may be smooth as glass or rough with scars, marked by the weight of time. Its wood may be new, or it may carry rings of history within its grain. Whatever its form, a table is never just a piece of furniture. It is an altar, a gathering place, a stage.

Tables hold possibility. But they also tell the truth. They reveal who is gathered—and who is not. They show us whose voices are lifted and whose are silenced. Too often, the boardroom table becomes a boundary. Seats are reserved for the few, and the brave questions—Who else belongs here? Who has been left out?—remain unasked.
I have lived on both sides of the table: welcomed, heard, and honored… and also overlooked, unheard, excluded. Those experiences carved in me a truth I cannot ignore: the power of the table lies not in its wood or its legs, but in who dares to sit around it—and in who dares to build it differently.
That is why I created Build the Table.
I believe leadership is not about guarding the table—it’s about expanding it. Not about hoarding power, but sharing it. Not about comfort, but courage.
I help leaders and organizations design tables where collaboration is alive, where strategy is sharpened by diverse voices, where vulnerability and vision can coexist. Where people step forward not only as participants but as co-builders.
